The Heart Behind Harbor Light
Being a preschool director is more than just a role, it’s my passion and my heart. With 21 years in childcare and the past 9 years owning my own center, I’ve had the incredible privilege of creating a nurturing environment where children feel safe, loved, and excited to learn. I also love supporting my teachers in their lesson plans and building strong relationships with families. I take great pride in not only fostering a strong educational foundation but also ensuring that every child is served nutritious meals to support their growth and development. Every day is a new adventure, filled with laughter, learning, and the joy of watching young minds flourish. Knowing that I get to play a part in shaping these early years is truly an honor, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Being an early childcare teacher is truly my passion. I’ve done this work for almost 8 years now, and I still fall in love with it every day. I love creating a warm, nurturing space where they feel safe to explore, ask questions, and develop their hearts and minds to the outside world. I love the messy hands after lunch and after art projects. I love the laughter when we’re being silly together, and when we’re out of breath from dancing our shoes off. Even through the ups and downs, I wouldn’t change a single thing about my work.

I’ve worked at Harbor Light Christian Academy for more than 5 years. Being a Pre-K teacher is more than just a job, it’s my calling. I absolutely love working with young children. Watching their faces light up when they discover something new, and seeing their little personalities develop. Every day is filled with laughter, curiosity, and those sweet, unexpected moments that make this work so special. It’s incredible to be apart of their first learning experiences, and to help them build confidence, kindness, and a love for discovery. There is nothing more rewarding that knowing I get to play a small role that shapes their future.
